Sarah Rosen is a writer and filmmaker based in New York City.

Her short documentary How to Make Challah premiered at the New York Jewish Film Festival, screened at Rooftop Films, and has won awards at festivals worldwide, including the Warsaw Jewish Film Festival and the Moscow Jewish Film Festival. She writes, directs, and produces film and TV projects internationally, both fiction and documentary. She has collaborated with yes Studios and Fauda creators Avi Issacharoff and Lior Raz on original TV and film concepts. Her screenwriting has been recognized by Yaddo and the New York Foundation for the Arts.

A former journalist, her writing has appeared in The New York Times, Harper’s, The Times of Israel, The Forward, and more.

She holds a BA in Film from Yale, cum laude, and is pursuing an MFA in creative writing at NYU.
